Microsoft hasn’t moved too much for us within the past month, but they did acquire a pretty big name gaming company called ZeniMax Media, which is the owner of Bethesda Softworks, one of the largest privately held game developers. It was an all cash deal and expected to close next year.
This is suggesting that gaming is becoming more important to Microsoft internally. The 7.5 billion dollar deal didn’t do much to their pocket book, sitting at $136.5b in cash with the $7.5b representing 1% of annual revenue.
I think this will pay well for Microsoft in the long term. We will continue to hold.
